The Department of Health, PhilHealth, the Local Government Units and Private Sector have introduced the Program ALAGA KA Para Sa Maayos Na Buhay, a multi-sectoral campaign that aims to uplift the lives of the poor and to ensure that the 14.7M Filipino families enrolled by the National Government are empowered and provided with primary health services.
Just last week the ALAGA KA activity was held in the Municipality of Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur last October 10, 2014 at Sta. Cruz Gym. The services that were extended to the participants include orientation, validation, updating and printing of Member Data Record (MDR). Other services from the Municipal Health Office (MHO) and Department of Health (DOH) include profiling and enlistment to Philhealth’s Benepisyong Tsekap (formerly known as primary care benefits) and other healthcare services.
There were three hundred (300) selected NHTS members served from the different Barangays in Sta. Cruz namely, Tuban, Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3 and Zone 4 and more or less one hundred beneficiaries were served as walk-in indigents members from different Barangays.

Adre (PhilHealth Region XI-Vice Pres.), Mr. Anthony Araneta (DOH-Provincial Team Leader), Hon. Atty. Joel L. Lopez (Mayor-LGU Sta. Cruz), Hon. Alexis C. Almendras (Vice Mayor-LGU Sta.
